Reward offered in fatal shooting of man found near insurance office

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the person or people who fatally shot a man in front of an insurance office on the West Side.

SAPD officers responded to a report of shots fired Sept. 6, 2015 at the intersection at N. Zarzamora Street and Morales Street.

They noticed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection and then found the body of Paul Nieves lying on the street.

Nieves was shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers later found evidence that placed the original crime scene at nearby N. Rosillo and Barnes Alley.

SAPD investigators believe the people responsible may have fled in a grey or silver sedan.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP (7867).

Callers do not have to give a name to authorities.
