SA teen drowns at Son's Island Victim identified as Jaleel Griffin, 17

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio teenager drowned Wednesday night at Son's Island in Guadalupe County.
Sheriff's officials said Jaleel Griffin went into some water that was deeper than he thought.
Griffin was pulled out of the water about four minutes later and was taken to Guadalupe Valley Regional Medical Center, where he died.
Griffin would have celebrated his 18th birthday Thursday.
