Security guard accused of sexually assaulting nightclub patron

Jose Alfred Lopez, 27, charged with sexual assault

SAN ANTONIO – Jose Alfred Lopez, 27, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman and forcing her to engage in sex acts with him after she left a nightclub in June.

An arrest warrant affidavit says the woman, 33, told San Antonio police that Lopez had approached her on the morning of June 18 as she was leaving a nightclub on Highway 151.

She said he ordered her out of her car, telling her that she was too drunk to drive and threatening to send her to jail. The woman told police that when she begged Lopez to stop he then asked if she would perform a sex act in exchange for her freedom, the affidavit says.

The woman said that when she refused, Lopez grabbed her by the hair and forced her to perform a sex act, then drove her to another location where he had sex with her, the affidavit says. She told police that she was afraid of Lopez because he had a gun in his waistband.

The affidavit says the woman said several times during the attack that various people approached them, and Lopez stopped what he was doing. She said, he eventually let her go and she called police.

Detectives said that when they questioned Lopez, he denied ever being alone with the woman. However, they said they found witnesses who told them that Lopez was alone with her.

Lopez was arrested Tuesday on a charge of sexual assault.
