3 shot in as many shootings Tuesday night

Shootings reported within hour of each other

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police were busy Tuesday night after three people were injured in three different shootings in the Alamo City.

The first shooting was reported just after 7:30 p.m. at the Park at Colonnade apartments on Parkdale Street, near Interstate 10 and Wurzbach Road.

SAPD Sgt. Daniel Gonzalez said officers found the victim, who is in his 40s, shot once in the chest inside his apartment.

"It appears that he was shot in the parking lot," Gonzalez said. "And somehow he relocated or somebody relocated him inside the apartment."

He said the man was not talking or responsive when he was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.

Gonzalez said so far no witnesses have come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call SAPD at 210-207-7273.

Shooting on East Southcross

The second shooting was reported just after 8 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of East Southcross on the Southeast Side.

Police said a man in his late 20s was shot twice and taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center. He is expected to live.

Police think more than one person may have been involved, but no arrests have been made.

Drive-by on Sierra Street

The third shooting was reported just before 8:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Sierra Street on the South Side.

Police said a couple in their late 30s or early 40s was walking when a man pulled up and fired several shots.

The man was shot and taken to SAMMC in an unknown condition. The woman was not hit by the shots.

Police said the suspect is a bald Hispanic man in his late 30s or early 40s. He was driving a newer-model, gray Ford Mustang.
