Suspects in Friday shooting arrested

Family said Facebook post led to shooting

SAN ANTONIO – Police have charged two men with connection to a shooting on Friday that left one man dead and another critically injured.

Victor and Jesus Gonzales were shot on Friday outside a home on the 2900 block of Chihuahua Street. When police arrived at the scene Victor Gonzales had died of his injuries, his brother was taken to University Hospital where he was still listed in critical condition on Saturday.

Less than 24 hours after the shooting police had issued warrants for two men after the men turned themselves into police.

Juan Hernandez, 24, was already booked into the Bexar County Jail on unrelated drug charges. Sonny Hernandez, 21, was arrested Saturday afternoon.

Both men are facing murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges.

Family members at the scene of the shooting on Friday said a Facebook post had led the shooting. A cousin said all four men involved are related.
