Police said a man (pictured above) approached the victim in the parking lot and told her that his wife had hit the victim's car with their car. He told the victim he wanted to make sure her car was OK before leaving, according to a police report.

The victim and man checked the woman's car for damage and then began walking toward the man's car to check it for damage. As they were walking, police said the man grabbed the woman's purse and tried to pull it away from her.

The purse was wrapped around the woman's arm and she was knocked to the ground as the man pulled it. Police said the man dragged the woman across the concrete as he tried to get the purse.

A witness told police she saw the robbery taking place and yelled for the victim to let go, which she did, according to police.

The man fled in a silver or greenish, four-door sedan, police said. The witness told police she thought a woman was driving the getaway vehicle.

The victim suffered minor injuries to her legs.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the man's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 210-224-STOP (7867).
