Training instructor pleads guilty in court martial

Tech. Sgt. Brian P. Hickingbottom Jr. had unprofessional relationships with 3 technical training students

SAN ANTONIO – A former Air Force military training instructor at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland was sentenced Monday in connection with his court-martial.

Tech. Sgt. Brian P. Hickingbottom Jr. pleaded guilty to having unprofessional relationships with three technical training students and obstructing justice
with one of the former students.

He was found not guilty of obstructing justice with another former student.

Military Judge Col. Donald R. Eller Jr. sentenced him to four months confinement, hard labor without confinement for 45 days, and reduction in rank to E-4 (Senior Airman).

This is the 24th completed court-martial in a series of allegations against military training instructors on JBSA-Lackland.
