SAN ANTONIO – Veterans and the community joined forces for a day of service Saturday, in honor of the anniversary of the terror attacks on 9/11.
Haven for Hope, Boys and Girls Club staff and Project Phoenix veterans gathered at the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio.
Haven for Hope received a mini grant to conduct a service project in honor of 9/11 victims. Volunteers landscaped the club facility, improved the softball field, removed graffiti and revitalized playing areas.
