SAN ANTONIO – Animal Care Services and District 3 city Councilwoman Rebecca Viagran are holding a Microchip MANIA Friday at the Southside Lions Community Center.

The ACS microchips include a basic lifetime registration and can be updated at any time free of charge. The microchips have a unique ID number, which can be read by a scanner and help to find a missing pet through the provided contact information.

The Microchip MANIA will last Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

ACS officials remind pet owners that they offer micro-chipping seven days a week during regular business hours at the shelter at 4710 State Highway 151.
