Release of the Tricentennial Economic Impact Study to be held Wednesday

SAN ANTONIO – The Tricentennial Economic Impact Study on San Antonio and Bexar County, which was conducted by Dr. Steven Nivin, will be released on Wednesday. The study is a projection of the economic and fiscal impacts of San Antonio’s 300th anniversary in 2018, a news release from the city said. 

The Tricentennial will be a citywide, year-round celebration that will focus on four initiatives — arts and culture, history and education, community service and commemorative week -- the release said.

The Tricentennial will be an inclusive celebration, engage participants of all ages and from every part of the city. The economic and cultural impact of the 300th anniversary will be significant and will positively affect both the city and county, the release said. 

Mayor Ivy Taylor and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff will be in attendance for the event. 

The event will take place, Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the San Antonio City Hall Media Briefing Room which is located at 100 Military Plaza in San Antonio, 78205.
