SAN ANTONIOUPDATE: Tony Parker will not be playing in Friday night's game due to a left quad contusion.

The Washington Wizards began a three-game road trip with a 126-115 overtime loss at Oklahoma City on Wednesday to fall to 1-6 away from home. The road trip does not get any easier on Friday, when the Wizards visit the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs put it all together during a nine-game winning streak that culminated with a 112-100 win at Washington on Saturday but San Antonio's streak ended in its return home on Tuesday. A 94-87 triumph in Dallas on Wednesday made it 10 wins out of 11.

Washington Wizards defended Thunder guard Russell Westbrook well for most of the night on Wednesday but could not stop the star down the stretch and in overtime and ended up falling for the second time in three games.

"I think we'll get rolling," Wizards guard Bradley Beal told reporters. "I think it's just a matter of us getting over this hump. We're right there. Our effort is there. We're playing defense the right way, the way we want to. The offense is there. We just got to put it all together now."

ABOUT THE WIZARDS (6-11): Beal scored 31 points in Wednesday's loss and is on a tear of late with an average of 29.5 points in the last six games. The 23-year-old scored 25 points in Saturday's loss to San Antonio but the defense failed to show up as the Spurs shot 53.3 percent from the field. Beal's hot stretch is helping to cover up some poor performances from point guard John Wall, who went 6-of-20 from the floor on Wednesday and recorded a triple-double with 19 points, 11 assists and 11 turnovers in a win over Sacramento on Monday.

ABOUT THE SPURS (15-4): San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich regularly rests his players in back-to-back sets and kept starting point guard Tony Parker and starting center Pau Gasol out of the lineup in Wednesday's trip to Dallas. The extra playing time gave reserve point guard Patty Mills a chance to shine, and he responded with 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting in 29 minutes. The Australian went 5-of-6 from 3-point range and he is one of three Spurs players attempting more than two 3-pointers per game and connecting at a clip of 43.5 percent or better.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Wizards PF Markieff Morris (ankle) and C Ian Mahinmi (knee) are both questionable for Friday.

2. Spurs PF LaMarcus Aldridge failed to score in double figures for the first time this season when he was held to five points on 2-of-9 shooting on Wednesday.

3. San Antonio took the last two in the series after a pair of wins by Washington.
