Last season, the franchise's estimated worth was $1.15 billion.

These latest figures make the Spurs the 12th most valuable franchise in the league.

The Knicks ($3.3B), Lakers ($3B), Bulls ($2.5), Rockets ($1.65B) and Mavs ($1.45B) were all in the top 10.

Cleveland was No. 11 with a net worth of $1.2 billion, but Forbes estimates the franchise lost money because of the luxury-tax payment.

The average NBA franchise is now worth $1.36 million, more than double what the average was three years ago.

The massive monetary gains were fueled for the most part by the league’s nine-year, $24 billion television deal with ESPN/ABC and TNT, which began this year.
