Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is known to get surly at times during in-game interviews, but Thursday night Coach Pop reunited with his longtime friend TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager for a heartfelt moment.
Sager was diagnosed with leukemia in April 2014 and stepped away from his sideline gig to undergo treatment.

Sager is back and interviewed Popovich for the first time this season during the second quarter of the Spurs win over Memphis.
The sideline interview was classic Popovich, but not before some well wishes and hugs thrown Sager’s way. Here’s a part of the interview:
"I gotta honestly tell you, this is the first time I've enjoyed doing this ridiculous interview we're required to do," Popovich said. "It's because you're here, and you're back with us. Welcome back, baby."
“Thank you very much," Sager said. "I laid in the hospital for months hoping to do this again."
"Now ask me a couple of inane questions," Pop said. The interview ended with Popovich saying he loved Sager.
