SAN ANTONIO – CyberSecurity San Antonio on Thursday announced a new incubator program at Geekdom downtown to encourage technological innovation.
The incubator program is aimed at helping startup companies create innovative technology and giving entrepreneurs one-on-one mentoring they need to succeed.

"This cyber-security incubator is where companies can go and get mentorship," said Lorenzo Gomez III, CEO of Geekdom and executive director of the 8020 Foundation. "They can get pricing help. They can actually meet with people who have created companies before, sold companies before, and really help them along the entrepreneurial journey."
The program is part of a partnership between CyberSecurity San Antonio, the Austin Technology Incubator, which also assists startups, and the 8020 Foundation, which gives grants to charities.
The incubator is located at Geekdom, a collaborative workspace on East Houston Street, which is at the center of San Antonio's expanding tech district, according to CyberSecurity San Antonio.
"San Antonio has all the attributes and strengths of an ecosystem to support the creation of new and innovative products in the cyber security-market," said Will Garrett, director of CyberSecurity San Antonio.
