1 killed, 1 critically injured in Loop 410 crash

Driver killed identified as John Mosley, 69

SAN ANTONIO – A 69-year-old man was killed and another person was critically injured Tuesday night in a crash on the city's Northwest Side.

Police said John Mosley was driving a vehicle that was headed eastbound on Northwest Loop 410, near Vance Jackson Road, shortly before 8 p.m., when he cut across several lanes of traffic that had slowed down for an accident.

Mosley hit the rear of a Nissan Frontier, lost control and was struck from behind by a Ford pickup truck, police said.

Mosley died at the scene, police said.

A passenger riding with him was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.

No criminal charges are pending, police said.
