Motorcyclist killed in far NE Side crash identified

Steven Michael Dahl, 29, died in wreck near 17500 block of FM 2252

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department has identified the name of the person killed in a motorcycle crash on the city's far Northeast Side on Thursday.

Steven Michael Dahl, 29, died following a wreck in the 17500 block of FM 2252.

Police said Dahl was riding a Honda CBR600 motorcycle traveling southbound when both a Toyota Tundra turning left from the cemetery and a Honda Accord was turning right from the cemetery.

Police said Dahl struck the back of the Toyota Tundra as it was crossing the southbound lanes of FM 2252 and then continued southbound after the impact and struck the back of the Honda. Dahl was pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of the Toyota and the Honda were not intoxicated and remained at the scene to help. No criminal charges are pending. 

Dahl was wearing a helmet during the crash, police said.
