SAN ANTONIO – A motorcyclist is recovering at an area hospital following a high-speed crash overnight, San Antonio police said Thursday.
The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 10 West at the Loop 410 West exit.
Police said the motorcyclist was simply going too fast and lost control of his bike before hitting a retaining wall. That's when, police said, the rider fell off of the bike and the bike went over the guardrail, falling 40 feet to the ground below.
The motorcyclist suffered a broken arm along with other unknown injuries. He was taken to University Hospital by EMS.
His condition at this time is not currently known.
