SAN ANTONIO – A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after police say a hit-and-run driver ran him down early Saturday morning.
San Antonio police said Christopher Cortez, 24, was riding on the access road at Loop 1604 near Braun Road just after 2:30 a.m. when he was hit by a car.
The driver did not stop to help Cortez.
Police said Cortez was not wearing a helmet and suffered critical injuries but later died.
At last report the police were still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
