SAN ANTONIO – A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle overnight, San Antonio police said Thursday.
The accident occurred around 1:40 a.m. on Interstate 35 near Rittiman Road on the city's Northeast Side.
The driver told police he was traveling southbound on Interstate 35 when he saw a woman jump a median in front of him and enter straight into his lane. That's when, police said, the woman hit the driver's windshield before rolling over the back of the car.
The woman was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for her injuries.
Police said the driver will not be charged.
