KSAT Weather: Rain, severe storms in forecast

Multiple storm chances possible this week

SAN ANTONIO – Rain and the possibility of severe storms are in the forecast for South Texas on Monday evening and early Tuesday.

KSAT 12 meteorologist Mike Osterhage says to get ready for a wet week. Mist and some fog Monday morning. A few showers and storms today, more tonight. Tomorrow afternoon there's a chance for severe storms and heavy rain into Wednesday morning.

More rain on Thursday and Friday.

KSAT Meteorologist Katie Vossler said the highest threats for severe storms on Monday will be north of Highway 90, extending into the Hill Country.

Another threat of severe storms is forecast to impact the area Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. This strongest storms are predicted to impact a larger portion of the KSAT viewing area. A slight risk of severe storms is forecast from Fredericksburg to Kerrville down to Laredo and points east.

Large hail and damaging winds are forecast to be the biggest cause for concern, though an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
