Watching for a few storms out west Saturday night ~ Mia
WEATHER HEADLINES:
• Isolated strong storms possible tonight, especially out west
• Hotter Sunday: upper 90s
• Heating up into next week: Highs near 100°
FORECAST DETAILS:
A few storms may move into our far western counties tonight, all depending on how storms evolve as they fall out of West Texas. These storms could initially be strong (capable of hail and gusty winds), before they gradually weaken as they approach the I-35 corridor through the early morning hours of Sunday. We'll keep a 30% potential in the forecast to see if we can't find some leftover rain move closer to San Antonio as we sleep.
After that, we'll plan to start off Sunday in the mid-70s with a lingering shower possible, before partly cloudy skies take over in the afternoon and highs reach for the upper 90s around San Antonio. Factor in the humidity, and feels-like temperatures could climb into the triple digits for a few hours. A southeast breeze will also be found at 10-15 mph sustained.
Temperatures will continue to crank up through the first full week of June with highs in the upper 90s/near 100°.
More updates to come! Until then -- have a great night. ~ Mia
