A few storms possible for some tonight, plus the latest on an upcoming warming trend ~ Mia
WEATHER HEADLINES:
• Isolated strong storms possible tonight, especially out west
• Hotter Sunday: upper 90s
• Heating up into next week: Highs near 100°
FORECAST DETAILS:
Good afternoon! A few isolated showers and storms have developed across parts of South Central Texas, with that likely still being the theme in a few spots this evening.
Depending on how storm activity evolves out of West Texas, a few storms may move into our far western counties later tonight (around 11 pm). These storms could initially be strong, before gradually weakening as they move eastward and approach the I-35 corridor through the early morning hours of Sunday. We'll monitor!
Speaking of Sunday, we'll start off the day in the mid-70s with a lingering shower not ruled out, before partly cloudy skies take over in the afternoon and highs reach for the upper 90s around San Antonio. Factor in the humidity, and feels-like temperatures could climb into the triple digits for a few hours. A southeast breeze will also be found at 10-15 mph sustained.
Temperatures will continue to crank back up in the week ahead with highs in the upper 90s/near 100° at times.
We'll keep you posted! Until then -- have a great evening. ~ Mia
