San Antonio police said they have arrested 27-year-old Keith Livas, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, after a shooting early Tuesday morning.
Livas is accused of shooting 30-year-old Anwar Plez on the right side of his face.
"It was reported that he woke up to find the suspect standing over him with a gun," said Sgt. Javier Salazar, SAPD spokesman. "A struggle ensued during which Mr. Plez was shot one time in the face."
SAPD reported an apparent love triangle led to the shooting at an apartment in the 2100 block of Davy Crockett.
Police said Livas' girlfriend said they were still in a relationship at the time of the shooting, and that Livas still had a key to her apartment.
They also said the victim was able to tell a detective who had shot him, and that Livas' girlfriend told them she awoke to see the two men struggling.
