Spurs' Boris Diaw undergoes spinal surgery

Synovial cyst successfully excised, Spurs' reps say

On Friday, the San Antonio Spurs announced that forward Boris Diaw had a synovial cyst successfully excised from his lumbar spine.

The surgery was performed Thursday in San Antonio.

According to a Spurs spokesman, Diaw is expected to miss three to four weeks.

Diaw has appeared in 75 games this season for the Spurs, averaging 5.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 22.8 minutes.
