KENEDY, Texas – Three of the four people killed in a major accident Monday morning in Karnes County have been identified.
The driver who was killed has been identified as 24-year-old Samuel Jackson.
His 25-year-old passengers -- Joseph Solis and Alexander Smalling -- were also pronounced dead.
The name of an 18-year-old killed in the crash has not been released.
A Department of Public Safety spokesman says they were all oilfield workers who had been at a bar.
The four in the car were apparently with a motorcyclist as they came upon an 18-wheeler making a left turn outside of Kenedy.
The man on the motorcycle couldn't stop so he laid the bike down, investigators said.
Jackson swerved to miss the bike and crashed into the back of the rig.
The man on the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet, but he did survive.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.
An official cause has not yet been released.
DPS investigators believes alcohol may have been a factor.
