SAN ANTONIO – The jury in the sexual assault trial of Dr. Calvin Day, a dermatologist, was taken on a photographic tour of Day's medical center office on Friday.
Day, 61, is accused of sexually assaulting a 46-year-old female patient in a secluded room in his office complex in September 2010.
It allegedly occurred in a room prosecutors say was called the "Bat Room."
"There's the night stand and the speaker and that's a bed," Crime Scene Investigator Treise McDaniel explained, as pictures of Day's office were shown on the courtroom's visual display system.
"On one wall, you can also see a large mirror, as well as a mirrored head board on the bed," she pointed out.
In addition to the woman at the center of Day's trial, 13 others -- former patients and employees -- have accused him of inappropriate sexual behavior.
Day's medical license has been temporarily suspended since July 2011.
If he is found guilty, he is facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
