SAN ANTONIO – Hundreds of bikers hit the road Saturday for the 3rd-Annual Breaking the Chains Across Texas rally and ride.
Bikers Against Child Abuse, as they are known, said they not only raising money to help victims, they are also there to support them.
"Our mission is to empower and protect kids. We ride all over the state. We do all sorts of things in courtrooms, kid houses, therapy, all sorts of things we do to support children, to empower them to not live in fear," said one rider, known as Ace.
More than 400 riders made the trip from San Antonio to Austin to raise money for the group's Texas Children's Camp.
"This event is about our kids in the state of Texas. We want to get these kids to a summer camp that we provide for them in the summer. We offer these kids a place for the weekend and their families," said one rider.
The annual camp is held in Austin. The money raised during the ride is used to pay for food and entertainment, as well as tents and other camping equipment.
