SAPD arrests man suspected of Medical Center rapes

Series of sexual assaults date back to 2016


SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a series of sexual assaults in the Medical Center.

Police had been investigating the crimes that may date back to last year. In February, police released a sketch of the suspect, but the sexual assaults and attempted sexual assaults continued. The most recent sexual assault happened at the end of May.

On Thursday evening, police arrested the suspect. His identity has not been released.

Police have not publicly identified the number of crimes linked to the suspect.

The SAPD is expected to release more details Thursday night.
