SAN ANTONIO – A former cleaning woman has been arrested after she was caught on camera attempting to steal from a business where she used to work.
Valerie Garcia, 36, is charged with burglary with intent to commit theft.

San Antonio police said Garcia and her husband were caught on security video trying to load a portable air conditioner from an SWBC building storage room into a car.
A security guard approached the pair as they attempted to put the A/C unit into the car, but it sped away, an arrest affidavit said.
The guard identified Garcia's husband in a photo lineup and another guard recognized Garcia from the security video, the affidavit said.
He told police he knew her as a past member of the night cleaning crew. Garcia was arrested on Friday.
The affidavit identifies Garcia’s husband as Robert Rivas, but did not say if he had been taken into custody as well.
