Yorkies, Malteses, mini schnauzers up for adoption in Bastrop

Dogs available Friday

BASTROP, Texas – Bastrop County Animal Services has a number of small breed dogs available for adoption Friday.

Most of the dogs are a mix of Yorkies, Malteses and mini schnauzers, according to the shelters Facebook page.

The dogs range in age from 1.5 to 7 years old and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The adoption fee is $130 and the shelter is reminding prospective puppy parents that these dogs need regular professional grooming.

These breeds are commonly referred to as hypoallergenic, although no dog breed is truly 100% hypoallergenic, according to the American Kennel Club.

BCAS said the dogs are best suited for experienced dog owners and have not been socialized with children or cats.

On Friday, November 8th, we will have a number of small breed, hypoallergenic dogs fixed and available for adoption....
