Woman struck on Fredericksburg Road while trying to reach bus stop, police say

Pedestrian is expected to be OK

A woman was hit by a vehicle on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, while crossing Fredericksburg Road in Balcones Heights, according to police. (KSAT)

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was hit by a vehicle on Monday morning while crossing Fredericksburg Road in Balcones Heights, according to police.

Police said the woman was trying to walk to a bus stop on the other side of the 4100 block of Fredericksburg Road after 6:30 a.m. when she was struck by a pickup truck.

The woman was taken to the hospital, and she is expected to be OK.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is not expected to face charges, police said.

Both the driver and woman told police that they did not see each other on the road.
