SAN ANTONIO – Animal Care Services and DaisyCares are teaming up to hold a pet food drive for the holidays.

People are asked to donate bags of dog and puppy food or new or gently used pet items through the end of November.

Donations can be dropped off at ACS, located at 4710 State Highway 151, from 1-7 p.m. on Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekends.

“All donations will be divided between the DaisyCares pet food pantry and the SAACS Community Animal Support and Assistance (CASA) program, which uses a case management approach to assist pet parents in need with food, humane care support, and veterinary resources,” a news release states.

DaisyCares is a pet food pantry that works like a food bank. The organization receives donations, sorts the items for pantries, and then distributes them to those in need.
