Hop over to the Southside this April for a free egg hunt that is open to the public.

Guardian House, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting families in the community, is hosting the event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 1 at Concepcion Park, located at 500 Theo Parkway. The egg hunt begins at 11 a.m.

Children will have the opportunity to grab a free basket (while supplies last) and hunt for eggs filled with candy and other surprises at the second annual Spring Egg Hunt, according to a press release.

In addition to the egg hunt, there will be various family-friendly activities, including pictures with the Guardian House bunny, storytime, face painting, a fitness station with an obstacle course, door prizes, and more.

“Thanks to the generosity of H-E-B and our supporters, this event is free for attendees, and we can’t wait to see the smiles on the faces of children as they participate in the egg hunt and spend their day having fun with their families,” said CEO and Chief Clinical Director of Guardian House Shannon White.

Guardian House provides a variety of programs and services, including supervised visitation, counseling, parenting classes, and support for families dealing with divorce and other difficult life events.
