SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) announced on Tuesday that it would be launching a curbside pickup option for most locations.
According to a statement from a SAPL spokesperson, this will be a service all active library card holders can use, with no pre-registration required.

To use the service, library patrons can place any physical item on hold online, through the MYSAPL app or in person.
When the user is notified that items are ready for pickup, they can pull into a curbside pickup sign and call the number on the sign. The signs are bright purple.
If all curbside spaces are occupied, the spokesperson said patrons can go to the nearest spot and call the library’s staff, letting them know the make and model of their vehicle.
After that, the items will be delivered to the patron’s car.
Curbside pickup is available at every SAPL location except for the Kampmann Portal at the Briscoe Western Art Museum, according to the spokesperson.
