SAN ANTONIO – A man has been found guilty in the murder of a man in 2022 over rent money.
Late Thursday, a Bexar County jury found Joshua Walls guilty in connection with the death of 32-year-old Christopher Vargas.

Walls was one of three people charged in the murder of Vargas, who was found fatally shot in his home in the 3200 block of Nantucket Drive on Dec. 30, 2022.
According to the arrest affidavit, Walls was called by Peter Balraj because he was having trouble getting rent owed to him by Vargas.
Walls later confessed to police that he shot Vargas and that Adrian Gomez accompanied him to Vargas’ home.
All three men were arrested and charged with murder.
While Walls has been found guilty, Balraj and Gomez are still awaiting trial.
