SAN ANTONIO – Thousands of volunteers gathered at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, also known as Patriot Day, to clean headstones and burial grounds of fallen veterans.
Among the fallen veterans was Lt. Col. Karen Wagner, a Judson High School graduate, who died at the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks.
Wagner High School, the second-oldest high school within Judson Independent School District, was named in her honor.
