Man hospitalized after shooting in downtown San Antonio, police say

SAPD: Witness told officers they observed a group of men in an unknown vehicle firing shots into the air and toward another group

SAN ANTONIO – A man was hospitalized after a shooting in downtown San Antonio, according to the police department.

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday at Indianola Street and Garfield Alley, near East César E. Chávez Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police said officers found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A witness told officers they observed a group of men in an unknown vehicle firing shots into the air and toward another group, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

SAPD said the man did not know who shot him.

Additional information was not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
