Texas Trippin’: Take a road trip to Kerrville

Stay at this comfy Bed and breakfast, just a walk away from the Guadalupe River

KERRVILLE – Kerrville is about an hour drive drive north of San Antonio, in the Texas Hill Country. You can explore the small city that is home of former Texas A&M stand out, Johnny Manziel, by kayaking on the Guadalupe river, hiking or just relaxing at the rental home of Well-Tended Life Properties.

“It’s really just so important that we take the time to get away with friends and family,” owner of Well-Tended Life Properties Keri Wilt said. “Even if it’s just one town away, it’s life-giving.”

The Starkey House is available to rent in three different ways:

1. The entire house - complete with three rooms and a kitchen, stocked with all your cooking needs.

2. The Tuckaway - a one-bedroom with a living area, bar and kitchenette.

3. The Getaway - a two bedroom semi-attached bungalow (the perfect place for a getaway) with a private entrance, hot tub, outdoor shower, bikes, fire pit, gas grill and fenced in yard.

“We like to make this space fun and inviting,” Wilt said.

If you’re looking for great dining, there are several options, but be sure to try Wilt’s other business in town, Grape Juice Restaurant. The menu includes wild game-inspired menu items, po’boys, soups salads, a wine bar and highly recommended Brussels sprouts.
