AdOpened in 1984, when Trump was a real estate developer in his pre-politics days, Trump Plaza was for a time the most successful casino in Atlantic City. AdBut things began to sour for Trump Plaza when Donald Trump opened the nearby Trump Taj Mahal in 1990, with crushing debt loads that led the company to pour most of its resources — and cash — into the shiny new hotel and casino. Trump Plaza was the last of four Atlantic City casinos to close in 2014, victims of an oversaturated casino market both in the New Jersey city and in the larger northeast.

NEW YORK Naya Rivera, a singer and actress who played a gay cheerleader on the hit TV musical comedy Glee, was found dead Monday in a Southern California lake. What a force you were, wrote Glee co-star Jane Lynch on Twitter. She is survived by her parents, Yolanda and George; a younger brother, Mychal; a sister, Nickayla; and her 4-year-old son. Naya Rivera was a fierce talent with so much more to do and this is such a terrible tragedy. In the preface to her autobiography, Rivera wrote that motherhood had changed her life and given it perspective.

Comedian DL Hughley COVID-19 positive after fainting onstage
Hughley announced he tested positive for COVID-19 after collapsing onstage during a performance in Nashville, Tennessee. The stand-up comedian, 57, lost consciousness while performing at the Zanies comedy nightclub on Friday night and was hospitalized, news outlets reported. On Saturday, Hughley posted a video on Twitter in which he said he was treated for exhaustion and dehydration afterward. I also tested positive for COVID-19, which blew me away," he says in the video. Thank you for your prayers and your well wishes and a few more of them wouldn't hurt, Hughley says in the video.
