No. 13 Oklahoma tops Baylor, earns trip to Big 12 title game

Ehlinger helps Texas beat Baylor 27-16 to end skid

AUSTIN, Texas – Sam Ehlinger passed for an early touchdown, then ran for two more in the second half to lead Texas to a 27-16 win over Baylor on Saturday that snapped the Longhorns’ two-game losing skid. After the game, Texas players stayed on the field for “The Eyes of Texas” school song that had been embroiled in controversy. Ehlinger set up Texas’ first touchdown with a 42-yard completion on a leaping catch by Joshua Moore. After forcing a turnover on downs in the final minutes, Texas ran out the clock near the Baylor goal line. Most of the team left the field before the song after Texas’ first two home games and again in Dallas when Texas lost to Oklahoma, angering some fans.

Mims has 3 TD catches for Baylor in 63-14 win over UTSA

WACO, Texas (AP) - Denzel Mims was a little slow getting up after a play when he saw Baylor's call for the next snap. Mims then caught the second of his three touchdowns before Grayland Arnold's 73-yard punt return for a score in Baylor's 63-14 win over UTSA on Saturday. Mims had all seven of his catches for 101 yards in the first half of his second career three-TD game. Baylor: The Bears followed a season-opening 39-point win over an FCS team by scoring their most points since 2015. Bohanon played the entire second half this time.
