St. Louis flooded by historic rainfall
Overnight, St. Louis and its surrounding suburbs experienced the highest rainfall on record since 1915. As of Tuesday morning, more than 9.5 inches of rain had inundated parts of the city, leaving roads flooded, commuters stranded and many residents unable to leave their homes.news.yahoo.com

Although he advocated for a united Ireland, Hume believed change could not come to Northern Ireland without the consent of its Protestant majority. His son, John Hume Jr., pointed out that his father had a few weaknesses.
