Beware of recalled products on resale websites
But, a Consumer Reports investigation found hundreds of recalled products -- some of them potentially dangerous to children -- still available for sale on the online secondhand market. โPeople might not be aware of the law, or may not realize the product theyโre selling has been recalled," said Consumer Reportsโ Rachel Rabkin Peachman. Neither Craigslist nor Facebook responded to Consumer Reportsโ questions about steps they take to prevent the sale of recalled products on their websites.
