Kirby’s city council is scheduled to interview candidates for the city’s top administrative role Wednesday, months after KSAT Investigates learned former city manager Brian Rowland was hired as interim despite his previous termination.

The results in the race for mayor of the City of Kirby are unchanged after a recount on Thursday, according to the Bexar County Elections Office.

More than a year after he was terminated, former Kirby city manager Brian Rowland was rehired by city council — with a pay raise.
