A new NASA documentary featuring the achievements of numerous Black astronauts will premiere Sunday (June 19), during Juneteenth.

Former NASA astronaut Leland Melvin is working to help the next generation reach the same lofty heights that he did.

NASA is teaming up with the maker of Tide to figure out how to do laundry in space.

Celebrate human spaceflight with Planetary Society CEO Bill Nye (the Science Guy), former NASA astronaut Leland Melvin, the band OK Go, Inspiration4 astronaut Sian Proctor and other special guests this Saturday (April 10).

Melvin began working at NASA as an engineer in 1989 and became a member of the astronaut corps in 1998. In that latter year, he also orchestrated the most beloved official NASA astronaut photo of all time , a playful shot that cedes the spotlight to Melvin's two affectionate dogs, Jake and Scout. Amateur astronauts, private space stations, flying factories, out-of-this-world movie sets this is the future the space agency is striving to shape as it eases out of low-Earth orbit and aims for the moon and Mars.
