A former student who accused ex-LSU football coach Les Miles of sexual harassment in 2013 sought a $2.15 million settlement with LSU and Miles, according to documents filed in a former athletic department official's lawsuit. The documents detailed the ex-student's allegations that Miles “groomed, sexually and emotionally manipulated, and damaged" her after recruiting her from an LSU sorority to work for him. “Making scandalous accusations does not make something true,” an attorney for Miles, Peter Ginsberg, told The Advocate on Friday after the documents were made public.

The New Orleans Saints and Tyrann Mathieu have agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract, reuniting the All-Pro safety with his hometown team, a person familiar with the terms told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

LSU and newly hired coach Brian Kelly have agreed to a 10-year contract worth $95 million plus incentives.

Kansas defensive line coach Kwahn Drake and cornerback coach Chevis Jackson were fired Monday, two days after the Jayhawks finished their first season under Lance Leipold with a competitive loss to bowl-bound West Virginia. LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas coach Les Miles has been cleared to return to the Jayhawks after his positive test for COVID-19, but out of caution is skipping the team's trip to West Virginia for Saturday's game. Also on Friday, Southern Mississippi at UTEP became the sixth game scheduled for Saturday to be postponed this week. The Gators had at least 21 players and coaches test positive for the coronavirus and dozens more quarantined because of contract tracing. “Coach Miles is doing well and has been cleared to leave isolation," Kansas team physician Dr. Larry Magee said in a statement. Miles isn't the only head coach to test positive for the virus.

The Sooners are still considered the overwhelming favorite to win their sixth consecutive Big 12 crown overall because nobody has dethroned them with Riley there. Former Oklahoma State quarterback Mike Gundy is in his 16th season as head coach for his alma mater.
