Leslie Jordan, the Emmy-winning actor whose wry Southern drawl and versatility made him a comedy and drama standout on TV series including “Will & Grace” and “American Horror Story,” has died.

Artis Leon Ivey Jr., better known as Coolio, died suddenly Wednesday, according to multiple reports. He was 59 years old.

Rapper Coolio died unexpectedly at the age of 59 on Wednesday. In the aftermath of his loss, celebrities have taken to social media to recognize his artistry and contribution to the music scene.

The rapper, whose legal name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr., died at a friend's Los Angeles home, his manager confirmed. The cause of death was not immediately clear.

Coolio, the rapper who was among hip-hop’s biggest names of the 1990s with hits including “Gangsta’s Paradise” and “Fantastic Voyage,” has died.

NEW YORK This year's New York Film Festival will be held largely virtually and in outdoor screenings, organizers said Thursday while unveiling a lineup featuring new films from Chloe Zhao, Steve McQueen and Azazel Jacobs. Many of the films selected by Film at Lincoln Center, which presents the New York Film Festival, will also play at the Venice and Toronto festivals. As previously announced, the 58th New York Film Festival will kick off with McQueen's Lovers Rock"; Chloe Zhao's Nomadland is the centerpiece; and Azazel Jacobs' French Exit, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges. Last year, Martin Scorsese's Irishman debuted opening night at the New York Film Festival. The 58th New York Film Festival will run a week earlier, from Sept. 17Oct.

Although Michelle Pfeiffer is an acclaimed actress with decades of work under her belt, she still has a petrifying fear of getting the boot. "I think it comes from not having a background of formal training, you know, in the beginning," Pfeiffer explained. The new film rejoins Maleficent (Jolie) and Princess Aurora (Fanning) after the events of the 2014 film. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil arrives in theaters on Oct. 18.
