Cooper asked him to post the apology on social media, and then met with him Thursday for a three-hour conversation at Cannons business headquarters in Burbank, California. He appears to be someone whos genuine in his desire to make sure people understand his apology, Cooper told The Associated Press. Cooper said that hes confident that Cannon will use his wide-ranging social media presence to talk openly about mistakes, fight for social justice and reject messages of hate. He thanked Cooper and assured the Jewish community that it was just the beginning of his education.
Jewish leaders condemn 'hurtful' words by Nick Cannon
The Anti-Defamation League and other Jewish leaders condemned what they called hurtful words and anti-Semitic theories expressed by Nick Cannon on Wednesday, a day after ViacomCBS severed ties with him for the remarks made on a podcast. The danger is that those groups get confused with other self-identified Israelites like (Rabbi) Capers Funnye, who has a congregation in Chicago, and who is very much involved with the Ashkenazim Jewish community. Until his firing, Cannon produced Wild n Out, a comedy improv series for VH1, the ViacomCBS-owned cable channel. Cooper said that Cannon should reject Farrakhans hate speech and reduce the long statement to two sentences a simple apology. First of all, apologizing to the Jewish community for questioning our identity, Cooper said.

Floyd Mayweather Will Pay for George Floyd's Funeral Costs
Boxer Floyd Mayweather has reached out directly to the family of the late George Floyd, offering to pay for his funeral costs, multiple outlets report. According to the Associated Press, Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, confirmed that the athlete reached out to the Floyd family and that they accepted his offer to cover the costs for the June 9 funeral in Floyd's hometown of Houston, Texas. TMZ was the first to report the offer, adding that Mayweather will also pay for services in Minnesota and North Carolina. Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, died on May 25 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after a police officer pressed his knee into his neck for more than eight minutes.
