Picture book based on โAmerican Anthemโ to come out in June

NEW YORK โ Composer Gene Scheer, whose song โAmerican Anthemโ was quoted by President Joe Biden during his inaugural address, is returning the favor. The picture book โAmerican Anthemโ will be released June 29, Penguin Young Readers announced Thursday. It will feature Scheer's lyrics and illustrations by 13 artists, including Fahmida Azim, Matt Faulkner, Veronica Jamison and Christine Almeda.

Its the extremely literal one: the songs were sad, and Jones needed a hand getting up. Getting the sad songs out of her system was healing, she explained. It feels really good to write songs when youre feeling things deeply because you have somewhere to put all that energy.
