A tornado was confirmed to have touched down in Salado on Tuesday afternoon and area residents have been posting photos and videos of the tornado on social media.

Nearly two dozen people were injured when tornadoes swept through central Texas as part of a storm system that’s expected to spawn more twisters and damaging winds.

Officials say several tornadoes confirmed by the National Weather Service have caused widespread damage in Central Texas north of Austin.
