Biden win confirmed after pro-Trump mob storms US Capitol

Violent protesters loyal to President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol Wednesday, disrupting the process. One Republican lawmaker publicly called for invoking the 25th Amendment to force Trump from office before Biden is inaugurated. The support Trump has received for his efforts to overturn the election results have badly strained the nationโ€™s democratic guardrails. Some House lawmakers tweeted they were sheltering in place in their offices. The Pentagon said about 1,100 District of Columbia National Guard members were being mobilized to help support law enforcement at the Capitol.

Pelosi out to block Trump if disputed election ends in House

Under election law the House would intervene if the Electoral College gave no presidential candidate the majority Jan. 6. โ€œThere ain't no light at the end of the tunnel in the House of Representatives,โ€ Pelosi said at a recent press conference. Kathleen Williams and Republican state Auditor Matt Rosendale are vying for the state's lone at-large seat. Veteran GOP election lawyer Ben Ginsberg said thereโ€™s a long ways to go from election day Nov. 3 and a potential House vote on Jan. 6.
